Appointments: Our team will do our best to schedule an appointment at the most convenient time for you and your child. If your child has a dental emergency, we will see your child as soon as we can. If your child is in preschool, we may suggest that you schedule their visit during the morning when they are rested and fresh. If your child is having their first visit to our office, you are welcome to come back when it is time for the doctor to see them. However, we also try to help kids develop their own sense of independence by coming back for their later visits alone, but parents can join their children during their appointment if they would like.
We understand that schedules can change quickly and that from time to time, you may need to cancel your child’s appointment. If that should happen, we ask that you notify our office 48 hours in advance.
Your Child’s Visit: You are welcome to accompany your child back to the exam room for their first visit. Dr. Jensen likes to help children develop a sense of independence, and we find that it helps to have your child come back by themselves. It also gives our team a chance to develop a good rapport with your child. But at the same time, we know that your child may be more comfortable if you are with them, so you may join them if you would like.
Financial Policies: We do not want financial concerns to keep your children from getting the dental care they need. Our office accepts most PPO plans and will assist you in filing your insurance claim. Remember that payment for any services not covered under your insurance are due at the time of your visit.
